What to expect at your first lesson?
Most students will not ride during their first lesson. We will go over haltering, leading, brushing, and safety. This will be a general evaluation of the student’s comfort around the horse and ensures all safety measures are learned *first*. Their first month of lessons will consist of learning balance on lunge line, basic steering and stop/go, emergency dismounts, and learning to clean and care for tack. Learning to ride is fun, but it comes with hard work! The first several lessons aren’t the “fun” stuff, but they do help you stay safe for when we learn that later on.
