Riding Academy

First lesson is only $30!

Ages 6+

*After the $30 trial lesson, cost is $40/half hour for ages 8 and up and $45/30 min for ages 6-7. Ages 6-7 must complete our tiny tots class before being considered for private lessons. Semi-private lessons are available to intermediate riders and are $55/hour.

JAKS Riding Academy is a program designed for students who are casually wanting to learn about horses, all the way up to those wishing to be competitive riders. We have lesson horses here, or you can bring your own mount. We focus on equitation and horsemanship and teach western riding with specialties in cow horse and ranch riding. Students at JAKS learn not only how to ride, but also how to care for a horse. We teach them equine nutrition, vet care, hoof care, barn and pasture maintenance, grooming and more. Students tack up on their own, learn how to bathe a horse, learn groundwork and basic training of horses, and of course learn how to ride properly and safely! Visit our “About” section to learn more about Hannah’s mission as an Instructor.

Lessons are offered for ages 6+ Tuesday-Thursday mornings, and Monday-Thursday afternoons. No weekend lessons available at this time.

Waiver

* We require students get their own helmets after one month of riding. We will provide them for their first month.

* Students will need to invest in boots after one month of riding, too. DO NOT purchase boots too large. We understand they grow fast and you want to save money, but having boots too large is dangerous and they will NOT be permitted to ride in them. Thank you.

* Lessons include cleaning stalls, conditioning tack, grooming horses, feeding and watering horses, fixing fences, and more. Not every lesson will be on a horse*
