Teaching Kids to Do the Hard Stuff — and Love It

Ages 5–9: “Little Helpers, Big Confidence”

Wednesdays 9:00-10:0AM ($100/month)

Our younger group focuses on building coordination, responsibility, and early problem-solving skills through fun, hands-on learning. Kids will practice:

  • Using kid-safe hand tools

  • Buckling tack, belts, and gear

  • Clipping and unclipping leads/Gates

  • Hauling light loads (like feed buckets or hoses)

  • Identifying and using common tools

  • Being around large equipment and vehicles safely
  • Learning how things work around the barn and farm
This class gives kids the chance to try things for themselves in a safe, encouraging environment where effort matters more than perfection.

Ages 10–16: “Capable, Confident, and Ready”

Wednesdays 10:00-11:30AM ($125/month)

This class is for our older crew who are ready for more advanced skills and real-world problem solving. We’ll cover:

  • How to safely operate small farm equipment (like tractors or mowers)

  • Using power tools and hand tools for repairs

  • Unclogging drains and troubleshooting common fixes

  • Hose repair and water management

  • Proper tool use and safety protocols

  • Trailer and Vehicle Maintenance/Knowledge
  • Time management, teamwork, and initiative-building
Whether they’re preparing for first jobs, helping more at home, or just wanting to be more independent, this class gives them the chance to learn by doing.
