Trailer Driving Clinic for Horse Owners

April 26 | 10:00 AM – 3/4 PM

If hauling your horse makes you nervous, you’re not alone. Many riders own trailers but rarely practice the skills that actually keep horses safe on the road.

This hands-on clinic is designed specifically for horse owners who want to build confidence towing and maneuvering horse trailers.

Participants will learn the fundamentals of trailer safety, proper hitching, and practical driving skills in a supportive, low-pressure environment. Best of all, all trucks and trailers are provided, so you can focus on learning without worrying about your own equipment.

What You’ll Learn

• Different types of trailers and how they haul
• Towing safety and pre-trip checks
• How to properly hitch both gooseneck and bumper pull trailers
• Backing techniques and maneuvering with confidence
• Turning, braking, and trailer handling basics

Hands-On Experience

After a classroom session, participants will get real driving practice using our equipment:

• 3500 Dually Truck with 6-horse gooseneck trailer
• 3500 truck with 2-horse bumper pull trailer

You’ll practice hitching the trailers yourself and take turns driving through a series of practical exercises including turns, backing, and obstacle navigation in a controlled field setting.

Who This Clinic Is For

• Horse owners new to hauling
• Riders who want more confidence towing
• Anyone who wants to safely learn trailer handling before hauling horses

This clinic focuses on slow-speed control and real-world trailer handling skills, not highway driving.

Spots are limited so each participant gets plenty of hands-on time.
